Mary Jane Abbate was born and raised in Connecticut. She attended Tunxis Community College, University of Pheonix and Lincoln Culinary Institute. Throughout her lifetime, Mary Jane has held careers in insurance, legal, computer automation, and fire sprinkler contracting. She has also worked in a variety of restaurants throughout Connecticut, since age 16. Her hobbies include interior design, cooking and entertaining. After earning a culinary certification through the Lincoln Culinary Institute in Hartford, Connecticut (an accredited school through the American Culinary Federation), Mary Jane purchased the perfect bed and breakfast in Cavendish, Vermont.
Chef Mary Jane seeks to offer a diverse and seasonal events menu along with an extensive selection of locally made beers to promote the pride she feels for Vermont. All menu items are prepared in-house daily, using fresh ingredients from local farms and purveyors.
